Message from the Presidency

“What is said is not as important as what we hear and what we feel. That is why we make an effort to experience conference in a setting where the sill small voice of the spirit can be clearly heard, felt, and understood.”
-Robert D. Hales

You Belong

“In Their Image,”, by Caitlin Connolly, 2017

You Do Belong

This year’s Relief Society theme is all about Belonging. The promise of Relief Society is that we can become a Zion Society. Our job as Relief Society sisters is to encourage one another.

When we look at one another from an eternal perspective, we can see each one as an eternal sister. We are happy for one another’s successes, we share one another’s sorrows, we forgive one another’s mistakes, and we strengthen one another in our weakness. We may not be perfect at it, but all the Lord requires is that we start by having a heart that is willing (see Doctrine and Covenants 64:34). As we are “willing to bear one another’s burdens,” as we are willing to “mourn with those that mourn” and “comfort those that stand in need of comfort,” as we are willing to “stand as witnesses of God” (Mosiah 18:8–9), we are keeping our covenants with Him.
Quote from “Promise of Belonging” By Jean B. Bingham, Sharon Eubank, and Reyna I. Aburto The Relief Society General Presidency

Ministering Challenge

See Beyond Differences.

We invite you to open your hearts and look for ways to help our ministering sisters despite each other’s differences. This month we will be discussing who our ministering sisters are and our companions. Please make sure to fill out the Favorite Things form so we can help others get to know you and so you can get to know others.
